In this blog, we’ll give you a few tips on why we need to use variables within our training program in order to ensure that we continue to move forward and what we need to do to change it.

You may have heard the term ‘plateau’ or ‘hitting the wall’. You get great results and everything is looking good, and then. Bam! It stops. You plateau. Why is this happening? Your body has got used to what it is doing. Pretty simple, right? This is the most likely cause, but not always. We’ll discuss this later.

When we apply variables, we do so to ensure that we continue to progress within our training. Therefore, the body never gets used to one plane of movement, range of motion or load. We consistently change things. Weight, distance, sets, reps etc. The benefit? Progression

Real results come with the right nutrition. This could be another reason why you may have hit a wall. What has changed with your eating? Have you adapted or changed a certain element? Have you increased your intake or are you incorrectly monitoring your nutritional values? Look into this subject and try to find out why.

One other reason you’ve plateaued could be your general well-being. Has something changed in your personal life? Is your work load bearing down on you? The release of the hormone, cortisol, when stressed, can seriously affect our ability to gain results. It’s a huge inhibitor in fat loss. Evaluate your overall well-being, too.
