There is one thing we can guarantee that we will see every single day.

In fact, we see it several times a day. It’s your reflection. One of the first things we do every single day is look in the mirror. You may have struggled to get out of your bed that morning, you may have ignored your alarm clock. You may feel like you’re going to have one of those days.

It’s difficult to stay positive every single minute of every single day, so don’t beat yourself up for that. It’s ok to have less than positive thoughts or a lapse in discipline. But, don’t beat yourself up for that. Instead, have something that motivates you from the moment you look yourself in the eye.

Many of us have a series of motivational triggers. Write them down. Make a list of the things that push you forward every single day. Put them on the mirror. Put them on your wardrobe. Put them on your fridge. Put them on the kitchen cupboard. Put them somewhere you will see them.

Why? So, it’s one of the first things you see every day. When you struggle to get out of bed. When you’ve hit the snooze button five times that morning. You see your triggers, and you change your mindset. The doubts you had, disappear. They are replaced by actions. Actions that will ensure that you take another step forward that day.

Keep them simple and bulleted. Keep it to one page. You may have several pages of them. List the ones that are the most important to you. These are your ‘reflection’ motivational triggers. Every time you look in the mirror, and see your reflection, they are there. Every time you look at yourself and doubt yourself, they are there. Each and every day you have a series of points or triggers that let you refuse to give up.

Make sure that you think about them, before you write them down. They will be individual to you, and you only. Make them achievable. Make them personal. Think about what motivates you. What inspires you. What drives you.

You wake up. You think it’s going to be one of those days. Look in the mirror, and look yourself in the eye. Look at your motivational triggers.

Now look back at yourself. What are you going to do about it?
