Over the next three weeks, we are going to give you your very own blueprint for success as we move into a brand new year. Simply put, you’ll have all you need to make 2017 your best year yet. Read on for part one.

As the years go by, we set goals and targets. Year, after year, after year. We see our desires and our aspirations. We visualise success and achievement. Yet come the end of January, sometimes a little sooner, sometimes a little later, we fail. We stop. We give up. We get bored. We lose focus. We lose our desire. We lose our willingness. We could go on, but we’ll be here until next Christmas.

We stop. We give up. We get bored. We lose focus. We lose our desire. We lose our willingness. We could go on, but we’ll be here until next Christmas.

Before you set your goal or target. Before you visualise celebration or accomplishment. Ask yourself this very simple question….

What’s your motivation?

Blog Title - New Year Blueprint

What is the reason why you want to achieve this ‘vision’? You have to have a valuable reason for wanting to achieve whatever it is that you are going to set yourself, otherwise you will not succeed. Noah didn’t build the arc for no reason. Man didn’t land on the moon for no reason. They had a reason. They had a motivation. You need to have something that is going to drive you, push you, encourage you, motivate you, and inspire you.

Before you set your goal or target think about why it is important to you. This needs to be at the forefront of your thinking each, and every day. You are going to have days when you lack the motivation to attend the gym or complete your workout. You need to think of what is motivating you. When you want to give up, or you fail at something, you need to think of why you are setting out to achieve the goal that you have set yourself. When you think you’re not capable of achieving what you set out to do, you need to visualise your motivation.

We need a driver to push us forward. Each, and every day we take small steps toward that vision. We jump over obstacles and bypass negative people. You need to realise that what you are doing is important to you in the long term. Failing year on year with your resolution is not good for you. You need the desire to achieve your aims, this year, and every year from here on in.

So once again. Ask yourself. What’s your motivation?
