When I started Fitness Formation, I was 4 months post-op having had a big knee operation. I was desperately missing being able to do sport, especially team sports, however due to restrictions on what I could do, I felt that joining a gym was best.

It turns out that joining Fitness Formation was one of the best decisions I could have made. It is the first gym I have ever been to that essentially, is a team. It is not just a gym, but a community that help each other. The coaches are fantastic, they know everyone by name, and also what weight each person should be doing.

They were brilliant especially because I had been worried that I could injure my knee further, but they made sure that I never did anything to hinder my healing, and in fact they helped it, and also knew when was best to give me other exercises.

As a result, my knee healed very fast and is now strong again. Since then, I have stayed at Fitness Formation and have seen my strength improve greatly, or go from ‘strength to strength’.

I have started to notice it in my everyday life, from being able to pick both my sisters up, aged 3 and 6, at the same time (surprisingly useful when they always want what the other has) or just being able to lift things with more ease. Also useful when you live in a house of 5 girls!

Before I had always gone through phases of enjoying the gym and then phases of not going, but at FF, you can’t do that because they notice if you don’t go. It means that you not only go reliantly, but you enjoy it and meet a new family in doing so.
