Many of us look on in envy at the world’s most successful people, and wonder how they got to where they are today. There are varying factors as to why they became the people we know today, but one thing will have been present in all their success stories…..

Being consistently motivated.

Many people believe that age is a barrier. Education is a barrier. These are just two of the many, many things that people feel is against them. The reality is that you need to have an incredibly strong desire to want to do what others can, but choose not to do.

In this blog, we’ll look at three of the many things that will help to keep you focused and productive.

1.The past and the future. Something people dwell on, and spend too much time focusing on. Whilst seeing the end game is good, spending too much time living there is not. No one knows what the next three weeks, six months, or ten months will hold. Focus on today.

The present is the time you have right now to get things done. Work your plan, and accomplish your tasks. Today.

2. If you’re a serial procrastinator, you need to turn off any distractions that take your focus away from the task in hand. Social media plays a huge part in today’s modern way of life and whilst these platforms are useful, they can also be incredibly distracting.

Turn off your notifications. Put your phone in another room, if you have too. Losing time procrastinating will have a negative effect on your motivation, when you should be spending your time more wisely. After all, time is crucial to us all, and we never get it back. Whilst your tweeting, someone else is working.

3. Keep yourself fit. Working out is well known to reduce the chance of illness. Depression is very common in society today, and working out will help to combat this, amongst other things, as we said above. Workout consistently, eat consistently well, and this will give you a greater chance of keeping your levels of motivation higher than that of someone who lives a sedentary lifestyle.

Focus on today, turn off the distractions, and get to your work. In years to come, we could be talking about you in the same breath that we talk about todays success stories.
