In late 2015, New Zealand were crowned back to back world champions. This double success also brought down the curtain on the careers of some of the greatest players the game has ever seen in the best team the sport has ever had.

Speculation had been rife that captain Richie McCaw may confirm his retirement after the tournament, but one who called immediate time on his rugby career was Dan Carter. Carter is the highest points scorer in All Blacks history, and a mercurial talent.

Alongside McCaw, they are arguably the best Kiwi players of all time. In this blog, we are going to look at some of the qualities that are required to be a success not just in sport, but in life itself.

Learn to evaluate and evolve. Four years ago, the All Blacks won the world cup in their own backyard. Instead of resting on their laurels, they evaluated their success and began a four year evolution to make themselves even more formidable, led by McCaw.

In order to succeed, we need to look at what we have done and look at making ourselves even better. There is always something more you can do to go a little further. Evaluate. Execute. Evolve.

Blog Title - Quality

Forget failure. In 2007, New Zealand were fancied to go the distance in France, but were eliminated by the hosts at the quarter final stage. Failure is an obstacle to most. Those who experience failure and move forward learn to accept it, and look to move forward again.

Following the above principles allows a person or a team of people to look to the future rather than resting on the past. Eight years later, they are back to back world champions. An incredible achievement never before seen.

Success in not instantaneous. To succeed, you need to be patient. There is no such thing as an overnight success. After being eliminated in 2007 by France, the Kiwi’s had to wait another four years for retribution.
