Ladies. Do you think that you will achieve your fat loss goals or aspirations covering the length of the country each week on the treadmill, stepper or cross trainer?

Ok. Yes. It will help. Absolutely, it will.

But…..

Those weights aren’t gonna lift themselves. Before we begin, let’s dispel some myths.

There is a wide spread belief or fear that picking up a weight means you’re gonna wake up in the morning with arms that would put Mr. Olympia to shame.

Not gonna happen. Why? For the following reasons:

Women do not have the same muscle building hormones that males do, due to the massively lower levels of testosterone.

To achieve that manly look and build significant levels of mass, you will need to take some sort of enhancing drug. And we’re not talking Viagra, either!

Or…..

You have a very uncommon level of high testosterone, which is extremely rare in women.

Blog Title - Squat Rack

Here are a few benefits as to why you need to get the bloke off the squat rack, who insists on using it to do his shoulder presses:

Lifting any type of resistance elevates the body’s metabolism, and will continue to do so long after you’ve finished your workout. An increase in lean muscle tissue will eventually lead to the holy grail of muscle definition.

An increase in lean muscle means that you will be stronger, not to mention fitter.

Lifting weights increases bone density, thus decreasing the risk of osteoporosis in later life.

Increases in strength will improve your ability to perform  your day to day activities such as playing with kids in the park.

There’s just a few benefits to weight training for women.
