What is weight? It’s the measurement of our body’s attraction to the centre of the earth.

Measured in kilograms, it’s the combined mass of our body. Organs, bone, muscle, fluid, and fat.

Put simply…..

This is not the way you should be looking at the way you look. Would you rather see a change in body shape or would you rather bang your head against a brick wall as you throw all kinds of anger at gravity?

Here’s what you do instead…..

GET. OFF. THE. SCALES.

Blog Title - Sad Step

You do not need to weigh yourself every day. Variables within the human body such as water retention, muscle, time of the month etc all affect your weight. If you were to weigh yourself on the hour, every hour for twenty four hours, there would be a different reading on many occasions.

Studies show that you are 60% more likely to fail with your goal setting, when you weigh yourself on a constant basis.

BMI? Ignore it. You could be 5’ 6” with low body fat, and still be classed as obese.

Look at this way instead….

A change in body shape. How do your clothes feel? Have you dropped a dress size? Jean size? Do they fit you better? How does this make you feel?

This will leave you feeling a lot more fulfilled than the scales will. Move more. Pick weights up, and put them back down. Eat the right choices.

Leave the weigh-ins to once a week, if you must. We’re not saying never weigh yourself again. We’re simply saying your mindset will be a lot more positive, if you step away from the scales for the majority of your week.
