In this short blog, we’ll talk about why your nutrition needs to be realistic and sustainable.

Cut out all chocolate. Cut out all dairy. Cut out all gluten. Cut out all carbohydrates. Ban all alcohol. Many of you who have tried to lose weight in the past may have heard one, two, or all of these things when battling against your weight.

Firstly, you do not need to ban any foods. All three of our macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates and fat) are crucial to balance, energy, recovery and most importantly, sustainability. This the one thing that is going to be needed, if you are to succeed.

By being able to eat foods you like means that you are not going to spectacularly fall off the wagon one day.

It fits your calorie intake. If it fits your carbohydrates, protein, and fat intake for that day, then eat it or drink it. Account for the calories. If they don’t fit, don’t eat it or don’t drink it. Simple.

Flexible dieting is one of the the best ways to long term fat loss, and having the ability and motivation to control your weight, and your cravings.

As we said above, do not completely cut out the things you like. You will fail. You will have a  bad day, and you will binge. One day that will happen. You will fail big. Not small.

Do not be that person. Flexible dieting is the best way to achieve your fat loss aspirations.

If it fits, relax. Eat it. Enjoy it.

If it doesn’t. Put it down, and walk away.
